2D Representations

Task Description: This task is for maths Week 9 and term 2. On slide three we had to circle the correct answer which is what will the figure look like from the front. Then on slide five we had to work out how many blocks are being used and also create the figure out of the number of blocks. Then we had to show the front, top and right side on it. We had to do this on the other slides but on the last slide we had to circle the correct answer.

What's the point- Writing

Task Description: This is my writing task for Week 9 Term2. In this task we had to watch a little video about the Boy who cried wolf, you may have heard of it but it is about a boy who lied about there being a wolf in the village and the people in the village went to see if there was but there wasn't. Then a wolf really did a appear and the people of the village didn't believe the boy when he said there was a wolf then the wolf ate all the little boys sheep. The moral of this story is to never lie about something because it could come true. On the other slides we answer question like what is the message behind this fable or what is the story about and other question. We then had to do a create task which was making up a story.

Task Description: This task was easy to do and fun. What we had to do was answer some question, some question were like what can we tell from this graph, what are some issues with this graph and other questions. On the last slide we had to write what our favourite type of graph is, what we want to learn more about in the future and what are some key things we need to remember when making a graph. WALT: identify and summarise key information in a text

Task Description: The WALT for this task is to identify and summarise key information in a text. For this task we had to write down the things we already know about the earth's structure, I only know a little bit of things. Then we had to watch a video about the earths layers. We then had to paste in the text and break the words down into word groups. This is the second time I have broken words down into word groups. After that we had to watch another video but we also had to use a graphic organiser to gather as much information as we can. We had to watch the video three times so we can catch some information, then when we finished that we had to break another text into word groups. After we finished that all we had to write 2 or 3 sentences to summarise the text and then write down what we learned about the earth's layers.

Then after that we had to choose the right graph for each data being provided. We could use pie graphs, bar charts, scatter graphs and other ones or we could use ones that we have never learned about. After that we had to choose the right graph again but we had to make it.
