Task Description: This is my first maths work for our second lock-down. This task if about Decimal fractions, this is only level 1 because I need a reminder of how to work out decimal fractions. In this task we had to work out how many tenths are there, what is the answer for this equation and other task. I didn't get this at first but I remembered what my teacher said and it helped me.
I am a Year 8 learner in Room 2 at Pt England School in Auckland, NZ. My teacher is Ms. Tapuke.

What we had to do was pick a myth or legend we have learnt about and put some facts down about that myth and then on the first slide we had to put the pin on the country our myth is from. The myth I did was from Croatia. This task was fun to make, I didn't have enough time so I only did was myth.

Camp 2021
This years leadership camp was astonishing! I am so grateful our teachers let us have this opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and show what we are cable of and how good of a leader we can be. I am so grateful I was chose to be one of the leaders because it helped me become more confident and i'm grateful for my team that supported me while being a leader.
The eight activities we did was, 1. Paint Ball, 2. Go karts, 3. Archery, 4. BMX bikes, 5. Railway Jiggers, 6. Low ropes, 7. Cross games and 8. Camp search and also playing in the gym.
The activities were should definitely keep for 2021 are: Paint ball, Go karts, Archery, Low Ropes, Cross games, Rail way jiggers. But, I think it would be amazing if we also do Kayaking, Play on the water slide and also use the flying fox. I also think it would be amazing if we stayed at camp longer like we go to the camp site on Monday and come back on Friday.
Apart from it all the activities are fun and I am still grateful we get to do these amazing activities.
Overall, these three days are really important. It is so good for us because we can have a break from school and the leadership camp helps us become better leaders and makes us come out of our comfort zone.
Year 8 Leadership Camp
Last week the Yr 8's had the privilege to attend Kauaeranga Christian Camp. We were at camp for three days while the Yr 7 students stayed back at school doing a leadership camp. We arrived at the Camp and then had morning tea and put our things into our dorms. Then we played cross games, we played cross games to earn points and also to kill time by playing fun activities. We did lots of fun activities like Archery, Paint ball and lots of other fun activities that include team work and motivating.
My two favourite activities at Camp was Go karts and Archery. Go karts were fun because I thought it was going to be hard to drive but it was actually fun. We had to lapse to practice and then we could race to see who could get the fastest time, saddest didn't get the fastest time. My other favourite activity was Archery, the bow I was using was heavy the steps on how to use it was, 1. Punch, 2. Pull the arrow over your head, 3.Pull the string back, 4. Turn the bow, 5. then shot and try hit the middle. When I shot the arrow I got it on the yellow bit and it was close to the middle. Go karts and Archery were my favourite activities. A big thank-you to Phil and Shelley for having us as guest and making us feel welcomed. We had a great time at camp and i'm going to miss camp.

Time Line- Otiriunui's Perspective
This is the timeline about Otiritunui's perspective. He is one of the member's who was shot when Captain Cook first landed in New Zealand. He was shot because he was asked to trade his Cloak but he didn't want to then one of the guys gave him red fabric and Ortitiunui took it and left. He thought he cheat him so he shot Ortitunui. This task was really fun.
Captain Cook- As I saw it
Task Description: This is my inquiry task it is about the first time Captain cook landed in New Zealand and what happens on that day. After reading Captain Cook's perspective it seems like Captain Cook didn't mean it because one of his crew was the one who shot first. He was also very angry with the person who fired at the Maori tribe. This task was really interesting because I got to read different people's perspectives on what happened on the day.

What we had to do was answer some question about fractions and the question were like 2/6 of 12 and many more I think I got most of it right but it was kinda hard for me because I struggle with fractions.
