The Legend of Kava

There lived a family of three that lived on an Island with no food. One day a King arrived on

shore with his men. The king rested and said he wanted his men to find him some food, so his
men went out to search. They found the couple and told them their king was hungry, the couple
said they will find some food for the king. The King was laying against the plant the couple
planted so they couldn’t get it because they didn’t want to disturb the King. The father knew
what he had to do and the mother started crying, when the father saw the daughter he hugged
her, but he hugged her too tight and next thing you know she’s dead. They had to sacrifice her
daughter for the King, one of the King’s men told the King that the couple sacrificed their
daughter and they buried her body near the plant. The King was very humbled for what they
had done. From then on the plant started growing and the plant was named Kava.
