Plastic Pollution Crisis-Writing

WALT: to organise our ideas into paragraphs

Have you ever thought of how much Plastic gets dumped onto and into the land, ocean? We need to find a way to reduce and eliminate single use plastic products, so our animals are not endangered. 14 billion tons of Plastic gets dumped onto land which then gets swept into the ocean. 267 species around the world are endangered by plastic pollution and some are almost becoming extinct.

What is Plastic Pollution?Plastic Pollution is Plastic Particles that end up in the Earth’s environment and in the ocean which affects our animals. Plastic objects such as Plastic Bottles,Rubbish Bags,Chip packets always end up on land but then get swept from heavy rain via storm drains and sewer overflows.

Have you thought about the number of plastic’s you're reducing?.Try to reduce the number of harmful, wasteful and non-recyclable products you buy.As much as possible try to avoid buying single-use plastics and items with excessive plastic packaging. If you start reducing the number of plastic’s you’re using, this will result in less waste materials ending up in the ocean and in landfills.

Have you thought about Recycling?Recycling is the most environmentally friendly waste disposal method. Recycling the plastic objects you're using can help stop pollution in the ocean and on land. Reason why recycling is good because it reduces the need for extracting, refining and processing raw materials which create substantial air and water pollution.

These are some reasons why Plastic pollution is a crisis all around the world. Maybe you could stop using single-use plastics and refusing plastic items like plastic bags, water bottles and more plastic objects. Try to use the 5 R’S:Refuse,Reduce,Reuse,Repursope and Recycle, End single-use plastic.
