Maths Polygons

Task Description: For this task we had no hangout. We were learning about polygons. What we had to do was read what a polygon is, then had to name each regular polygon on slide four. After doing that we had a create task to do which was making our own polygon then we had to explain what is was. I tried to create a heptagon and yes I know I didn't make the shape up but I wanted to do because it looked hard to do. This task was nice and easy to do. :)

Shapes that belong together

WALT: group basic 2D shapes based on their properties

Task Description: For this task we had a nice and easy task to do. What we had to do was on the third slide we had to choose which shape we thought was the odd one out, then we had to explain why we thought it was the odd one out. We had to also do the same on slide four but then on slide five we had to group the shapes we think should be together. When we finished putting the shapes together we had to explain why we out them together. This task was nice and easy to do, shapes are hard for me but learning more and more about shapes has really helped me. I'm still at home :)

My Six Sentence- Made Up Story

Once upon a time there lived a young, handsome and very rich boy. He lived in a beautiful beach house, surrounded by the smooth and calm ocean in California. He was very skilful at lots of sports, but he mostly enjoyed Cricket and played Cricket the most.  Unfortunately he was a very angry boy, when he got bowled or run out or the ball he hit got caught by the other player he would get very frustrated and angry. His parents wanted to help with not getting angry so they took him to a therapist. So they took him into the city and then the boy saw one of the best  therapists in there country, the therapist asked him some questions about why he was so angry and after that he would never get angry when he played sports.

Learning about Chromosomes with Dr Thierry

Today Dr Thierry Lints taught us about Chromosomes. He taught us that we have 46 chromosomes 23 from our mum and 23 from our dad and in Chromosome 1 there is 100 million vase pains long. Then Dr Thierry told us to get into groups of 6 and I was with Sonnia,Maddy,Shania,Kalita and Anna then Dr Thierry gave us a container but it was also the Nucleus and inside was little strands of Chromosomes-( it wasn't real chromosomes). He gave us a paper and we had to sort it out onto the paper and then after we finished sorting it we had to answer some question on a paper. Sorting the chromosomes out was actually pretty fun and I also learnt more things about chromosomes.

Fair Choclate

WALT: Understand topic specific vocabulary
Task Description:For this task we had to read a text about chocolate.The text was about how they make chocolate and also thinks about profits and other things.When we finish reading the text we had to make a copy of this task and then do.There was question like what does fair trade mean or what is a profit and other cool things to.There was 10 slides we had to complete and it was sort of hard.When we finsh we have to ask our teacher if we can post it on our blog and if she says yes then we can post it on my blog.

WALT: have everyone contribute to the small group discussion

Task Description:For this task my group Compass and also Maps was on the ground working a problem out.I was in a group with Terry,Madison,Lucy.The problem was about Ratio,Mr Vogt put 3 eels in and for ever three eels he put 8 Whitebait.When we finish we have to ask our if we can post it on our blog and if she says yes then we can.But then we have to put it in with a Task Description.
