Rona and the Moon

Task Description: This is my reading task for the day. It is about Rona and the moon. We first had to listen to the story of Rona and the moon, then we had to watch a video of Rona and the moon. We then had to read Rona and the moon and The Moon story. We had to make a story board of the story Rona and the Moon then we had to break the text into word groups on slide 6. After we did that we had to do a recording then put down some worthy words. It's sounds like a lot of work but it is worth it because our learning will get better.

The Hydorsphere

Task Description: For this task we had to learn about the hydrosphere. Do you know what the hydrosphere is? Well at first I didn't but then we started doing some research abut the hydrosphere and then I started knowing more and more about it. What we had to do was write down what we already know about it, what we want to know and what we learnt. Then we had to write down what the hydrosphere is. When we finished that we had to make a poster, diagram or something to show what we know about it.

Reading- Inside Earth Week3

WALT: take effective notes

Task Description: For this task we were doing note taking. We had to peer up, I was with my buddy Austin. Each peer got given two paragraphs to take notes on and that was to break the paragraph up into word groups, then write down the main point, extra detail and then notes. Me and my buddy got given paragraph 7 and 8. This task was nice and easy and also fun to do.

Tectonic Plates- Inquiry

Task Description: For this task we had to watch three videos about tectonic plates. Firstly we had to watch the first video on slide number one when were done that we had to watch one of the videos on slide number two, then we had to write down what are tectonic plates. After we finished that we had to write what is an earthquake and what is a volcano. After that there were three other videos we could watch if we wanted to.

Reading- Week3

WALT: identify and summarise key information in a text

Task Description: The WALT for this task is to identify and summarise key information in a text. For this task we had to write down the things we already know about the earth's structure, I only know a little bit of things. Then we had to watch a video about the earths layers. We then had to paste in the text and break the words down into word groups. This is the second time I have broken words down into word groups. After that we had to watch another video but we also had to use a graphic organiser to gather as much information as we can. We had to watch the video three times so we can catch some information, then when we finished that we had to break another text into word groups. After we finished that all we had to write 2 or 3 sentences to summarise the text and then write down what we learned about the earth's layers.

The Geoshpere- Inquiry

Task Description: For this task we had to write down what we already knew about the Geo-sphere. I only knew two things which were there were four spheres and Geo-sphere is one of them. Then we had to write down what we want to know and that was like saying what question we wanted to be answered. After that we watched a video about the four sphere the four sphere were the crust, mantel, the outer core and the inner core. After that we had to write what we found out and what we learned.

Writing Task 2

Task Description: This is my second writing task. What we had to do was choose what we wanted to do it was either make a poster of how your invention works or come up with four reason why your invention should be picked for a business. I choosed to make a poster. My invention is a microwave that can create any food you want, I used arrows to show what I was explaining about. This task was fun and easy to do.

A Sneaker that fixes itself- Reading

Task Description: This is number two of another Reading task. What we had to do was do a vocabulary. and after that we could choose which second task we wanted to do. The choices were Information Web or a Comic strip I chooses an Information Web. What we had to do for the information web was have our name of the title in the middle and underneath it was the author's name and then we had to put headings around it and write what was in the headings.

A Sneaker That Fixes Itself- Reading

Task Description: For this task we had to copy and paste the first three paragraphs of the text A Sneaker That Fixes Itself. But first we had to read the text after that we had to highlight the word groups. This was my first time doing this because I didn't know what a word group was so I tried my best. After that we had to create a video of us reading paragraph 6. Hope you Enjoy.

My Invention- Writing

WALT: form and communicate ideas
Task Description: Our WALT for today was we are learning to form and communicate ideas. This task involved sketching, watching and other things. What we had to do was come up with an idea for an invention. Then we had to sketch it out. This is my invention, my invention Drone's delivering food right at your door. This Drone doesn't just deliver pizza it delivers what ever you order like MC Donald's, Sushi, Chinese Food and many other foods. After we finished sketching it we had to explain what our invention was then come up with three names for our invention.

Life On Earth- Inquiry

Task Description: For this task we had to write down what we already know about earth, then what we want to know about earth and then after that we watched a video and then had to write what we learned from the video. Also after the video we had to write down what we learnt with our class. When i'm finish we have to post it on our blog with a task description, labels and a title. Hope You Enjoy.

The Future- Writing

WALT: craft well-written sentences

Task Description: For this task we had to watch a couple of videos of what life will be like in a 100 years. Then after we watched the video our teacher read out  a text and we had to try and write down what she was saying it wasn't a test but she just wanted us to try something new. After that we had to write what we imaged what earth will be like in 2057. After that we have to post it on our blog with a task description, labels and a title. Hope You Enjoy!

Past The Mirgration

This term Team 5 have being learning about where there from where they get there family name from and other things.This one is about our family and what they Sacrifice for us to be here well hears what i think,I think that they sacrificed coming to New Zealand with no money just so we could have a better life.I also think why would they want to come over here when you have to pay bills to stay in your house where they came from they didn't have to pay anything. So this is what I think our families sacrificed for us.
